About Alpha Youth

Alpha Youth is an online gathering with your LYM friends to learn and discuss faith and consider why it matters, what if you have doubts, and more! Alpha is a safe space for people who have not been a part of a faith community as well as those who have. It’s a great opportunity to learn and grow.

We will continue with this program for the duration of the summer months.

FUN

In typical LYM style, we’ll be taking these opportunities to have fun, play a few games, dish out a few prizes and grow in community while we are learning together.

What will it look like?

We’ll be gathering on zoom, details below. We’ll be starting the evening with a game and conversation, watch an alpha video together (topics include: Life: Is This It?, Jesus: What Is He?, Cross: Why Did Jesus Die? and many more fundamental topics like these!). We’ll then take time to discuss some questions with our Small Group leaders in Zoom Breakout rooms (designated by age, similar to a Friday night in person) before we say bye!

Who

Lytehouse is for teens and some young adults. We welcome Grades 6 (as of January 2020) through to Grade 12+. The age range is vast, but we have conversations that allow for students to have discussion with other students within their age bracket. Our leaders are a mixture of Pastors, Adults, and Young Adults (if you have questions about how these leaders do their roles and what protections are in place, please contact us).

Location

We are gathering on ZOOM Video Conferencing Platform (no purchase necessary, students can download application to use), then make sure you have permission to join us!
