DON’T BE DIFFERENT ALONE

Being different doesn’t have to mean doing life alone. The world tells us that we should all be the same, but we celebrate our uniqueness! We believe that God’s created us with different interests/skills/goals. That means that a family like Lytehouse is stronger when the people within it are different from each other - we would be quite boring if we were all the same!

Clash of Academies

Clash of Academies is a round of competitions and challenges at Lytehouse Youth. These take place at each of our regular gatherings on Friday evenings. The purpose is for students attending Lytehouse to compete for rewards for their school. Each week one school is rewarded with a special gift (this fall it has been donuts for the teachers and staff).

The main prize is a trophy (yes, a real trophy called the Clash of Academies Cup). Students who earn points by landing in the top finishers for a competition/challenge earn points toward their schools overall total. We will be awarding the Fall 2024 winners with the Clash of Academies Cup on December 13th 2024 at our LYMMY Awards Ceremony (during our Christmas Banquet).

Students

Grades 7-12+ are invited to join Lytehouse! Simply register and show up to an upcoming event! In the spring of each year we welcome Grade 6 students to join us as well.

Student Leaders

Along with our older leaders, students who attend LYM are encouraged to find an area within the program where they can also be involved in leadership.

Mentors

We also are thankful for the influence of Young Adult and Adult leaders who serve as mentors to our students. They’re there to connect, listen, hang out, and laugh with our students each week.

Pastors

Pastor Crystal Card is the Youth and Young Adults Pastor at Bethesda Church.

We are also thankful for the many volunteer pastors and interns that lead with Pastor Crystal in various seasons!
